Sweet Sunday

Here’s what’s happening in Whistler for Sunday the 27th of March:

Japanese Relief Fundraiser at the Hilton Spa and Resort

Responding to a powerful 8.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan overnight, Sushi Village, Sachi Sushi, Nagomi, Samurai Sushi, Kaze Sushi, Fuji Market, and Teppan Village have teamed up to raise funds to donate to the Canadian Red Cross to help support emergency response efforts including evacuation, search and rescue and emergency first aid for Japan.

Held at the Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa on Sunday, March 27, this event will feature DJ’s, multiple live artists doing paintings to be auctioned off, silent auction and door prizes. Entrance will be by minimum donation of $10.

Mischief and Mayhem at Tommy Africa’s

Toronto drum and bass producer/DJ Mischief and Mayhem touches down on the turntables at Tommy Africa’s playing his eclectic mix of original drum & bass, jungle and dubstep music. 9 p.m. start.

Jam session with Kosta at The Crystal Lounge

Play alongside Kostaman at Whistler’s longest running jam night. Mics, guitars, bass, drum kit and percussion available. Show starts at 9 p.m., but show up early to guarantee a slot at the mic!

A Skilz Special Concert at The Village Lounge and Nightclub

One of the world’s top DJ/Producer/Scratchers from Finger Lickin’ UK back after 2 years, spinning signature hip hop, funk, breakbeats, dnb & dubstep. The Gnarboots crew hosts this weekly jam session all winter long! Full bands and solo acts are welcome; guitars, bass, drums and sound provided! All shows will be recorded and live streamed to the internet, so come on down and rock the Creek side! The fun starts at 10 p.m.
